Staff Project Experience

Town of Lantana Emergency Seawall Construction Phase I and II – Palm Beach County, Town of Lantana, Florida

Provided construction administration for this project’s phase I and Phase II to construct a steel sheetpile seawall for the Town of Lantana Beach Park. The beach park had experienced severe beach and dune erosion endangering existing buildings built on the dune profile. Project construction administration duties included collection, review, and recommendation of approval for pay applications, seawall and dune restoration asbuilt survey, and all other general and special conditions for compliance with the FDEP Permit.


Tigertail Park Amenities – Collier County, Florida 

Designed and permitted the upland utility components of the project. Components included utility design and permitting for the potable water, wastewater, lift station, and force main utilities to serve the park.


Ft. Pierce North 2nd Street Roadway Improvement Project – St. Lucie County, Florida

Project Manager for the upland component of St. Lucie County’s Port of Ft. Pierce mega-yacht facility development along the Intracoastal Waterway. The port facility integrates restaurants and waterfront recreation. It also improves roadway access to the existing commercial cargo shipping operations. The final design of this project included coordination of several components such as government agencies including FDOT, surveying and mapping, utility coordination, traffic engineering, geotechnical engineering, storm management design, roadway master planning, landscaping, irrigation, and lighting.


South Florida Water Management District, Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan – Central and South Florida

Assistant project manager, performed project management duties and civil engineering design on several Land Stewardship Public Access projects. As such, prepared scope of works, design, permitting and participated on the engineering contractor selection process. In addition, managed and performed different project stages such as conceptual, drafting, engineering design, permitting, technical review process to final engineering, final construction specifications, and final design report for procurement and bidding.


South Florida Water Management District, Canal Conveyance Capacity Program (CCCP) – North Region, Okeechobee, Highlands, Glades, Polk and Osceola Counties, Florida

Project Manager for the CCCP-North Region project. The CCCP-North Region project evaluated the current conveyance capacity conditions and deficient canal segments of about 92 miles of SFWMD canals as compared to design canal conditions. Recommended repair or monitoring for deficient segments and dredging for canals with 10 % or greater reduction in canal conveyance capacity. It also addressed any other observable condition deficiencies within the canal right of ways such as maintenance, operational, levee, and access road conditions. Project included converting existing historic data from NGVD to NAVD88.


Miramar Beach Parking Structure – Walton County, Florida

Managed the potable water, wastewater, and forcemain systems portion of the project. It included the said systems feasibility analysis, existing utility relocation coordination, design, permitting, final plans, specifications, construction and close out. The overall project replaced the existing asphalt parking damaged multiple times by coastal storms with one level concrete parking structure supported by 175 prestressed concrete piles and upland sheetpile bulkhead.


The Turtle Nest – St. Lucie County, Florida

Coordinating site plan, design and permitting for a proposed gated subdivision in Hutchinson Island adjacent to the FDOT right-of-way. The site has water and upland components. Situated between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, site permitting encompasses dredge and fill, FDOT permits, potable water, wastewater, force main, reclaimed water, drainage, dewatering, coastal construction control line, and storm water pollution prevention components.


Jupiter Inlet Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Maintenance Dredging And Beach Fill Placement Project – Palm Beach County, Florida.

Construction Project Management for maintenance dredging a portion of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in the vicinity of Jupiter Inlet to restore full navigation depth of the Federal navigation project.The permitted maximum excavation depth of the channel dredging varied from 12 to 16 feet (MLW).The project place channel dredged beach-quality sand along approximately 5,500 linear feet of beach immediately south of Jupiter Inlet, between FDEP monuments R-13 & R-19.


Harborview Development – Charlotte County, Florida

Design, permitting and construction coordination of a public boat ramp and its parking lot. Permitting and construction coordination of a six-unit boat lift transfer system for a private marina. The boat lift system will transfer marine vessels back and forth from a fresh water marina to the Gulf of Mexico.


The Estuary – Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida

Bulkhead monitoring and outfall control structure observation report for a site adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway.


Dixie Court – Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida

Paving and drainage plan design, drainage calculations, and cost estimates. Processing Environmental Resource permits, surface water management plan permits with the local city and county drainage districts. Processed water use permit for irrigation with SFWMD. Water and sewer plan design and calculations. Permit processing with County Health Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and water and sewer utilities departments. Pavement marking and signage plan design and permit processing with city and county agencies. Preparing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and obtaining the corresponding NPDES generic permit for storm water discharge activities.


Celebration Pointe – Broward County, Florida

As part of the design team, collaborated preparing the paving & drainage plan design, drainage calculations, cost estimating. Collaborated to process the environmental resource permit, processed the SFWMD water use irrigation & dewatering permit. Collaborated with the water, sewer plan and lift station design and calculations. Permit processing with County Health Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and water and sewer utilities department. Collaborated coordinating the offsite roadway utility improvements with FDOT and County. Collaborated Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans & obtaining the corresponding NPDES generic permit for storm water discharge.


 North Sarazen Drive – Palm Beach County, Florida

As part of the design team, collaborated preparing the water main plans, designed and permitted the abandonment of an existing water main and its replacement with a new water main. Looped the new water main with the water main for the adjacent Sunterra site.


Grand Cypress – City of Coconut Creek, Broward County, Florida

As part of the design team, collaborated preparing the paving and drainage plan design, drainage calculations, and cost estimating. Collaborated with others to process the environmental resource permit, processed the water use irrigation permit with SFWMD. Collaborated with the water and sewer plan design and calculations. Permit processing with County Health Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and water and sewer utilities department. Processed the offsite roadway improvements with  County Traffic Engineering Division. Performed construction management duties including but not limited to checking shop drawings and site construction observations.


Las Brisas – City of Sunrise, Broward County, Florida

As part of the design team, paving and drainage plan design, drainage calculations, and cost estimating. Processing environmental resource permits, water use irrigation and dewatering permits with SFWMD. Water and sewer plan design and calculations. Permit processing with County Health Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and water and sewer utilities department. Performing construction management duties including but not limited to setting up pre-construction meeting, checking shop drawings and site construction observations. Processing partial and final construction completion certifications and bond releases.


Tuscany – Broward County, Florida

As part of the design team, collaborated with the paving and drainage plan design, drainage calculations, and cost estimating. Processing environmental resource permits, water use irrigation and dewatering permits with SFWMD. Water and sewer plan design and calculations. Permit processing with County Health Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and water and sewer utilities department. Performing construction management duties including but not limited to setting up pre-construction meeting, checking shop drawings and site construction observations.
